The Intellectual Properties of Frank Zappa and...
A buddy of mine brought this article to my attention.
I’ve been reading about this brewery from Scotland since they brewed a beer called Nanny State as a jab to the Scottish government’s stance on high-alcohol and beer related marketing.
I’d love to sample this brew but since I don’t have much of an expendable income and don’t live in Scotland, I’ll have to rely on reviews.

Eat's $1 Oyster Jamboree
Thanks to the exceedingly frigid temperatures of the Pacific Ocean, I can eat oysters anytime I want!
Yes, I know that I could eat these delicious mollusks on the East coast right now, but really, have you ever seen such a giant briny specimen over there? There’s nothing like $1 oysters to sooth the soul and conquer hunger. Served up with a pint small 10-ounce glass of suds from Upright...

Toss Some Heat in Your Brew
I promised myself that after I settled in Portland, found a steady job and saved up some cash I would set out and sample all the breweries in the area. Well, I have a roof over my head and employment so what the hell, the saving money thing can wait…
I stopped by Roots Organic Brewing after work today for the release of their new seasonal—Chocolate Habanero Stout. I was more curious about the...

Brewing Updates
I just received word about the beers I’m brewing. I don’t have the space in my apartment for all the boiling, brewing and storage so my buddy keeps the fermenting concoctions at his place. Every couple of days we chat about the development of our sudsy creations.
The Bad News.
The bad news is that the session Pale ale we are trying to make is at 3.4% ABV right now. Although I don’t mind...
