I’ve recently be given the honor of leading Saturday brew tours at Chelsea.  Not only is this awesome in its own right, but it gives me some stability in my schedule and means that I don’t have to wait tables Saturdays! 

Unfortunately, I’ve been in the restaurant business for the majority of my working life so I forgot just how much I dislike weekend crowds.  I went out for a few pints after my last tour and as the time rolled away a whole slew of misfits, bros and overly made-up ladies paraded in and proceeded to simultaneously entertain and irritate me.  It still baffles me just how much energy all those Monday through Friday-ers have pent up and decide to vent all at once at whatever bar I choose to attend on the weekend. 

I’ll eventually get used to this, but in the meantime I can ignore this snafu in my new schedule and invite all the willing and able to hit up the Chelsea brewing Company every Saturday for brewery tours hosted by yours truly.  Tours start on at 2pm and begin on the hour until 6pm.  Just remember I am pretty much obligated to partake in the sudsy stuff while dropping beer knowledge on you so once the 6 o’clock tour rolls around I’m feeling pretty good.
